Ferrovia is fully compatible with Autodesk Civil3D software and uses its terrain modeling capabilities. Beyond Civil3D DTM Ferrovia extends its functionality with rail specific tools and functions for track design and inspection purposes based on surveyed points along the alignment.
Ferrovia also offers powerful solution for rail track geometry inspection and analyses. Based on current rail track surveyed position Ferrovia calculates all needed horizontal and vertical moves for rail track realignment and exports the data to specialized track maintenance/tamping machinery in digital format (WinALC supported). Ferrovia's interoperable capabilities for combined usage of designed tracks and surveyed data enables users to save considerable time and other resources to accomplish important maintenance tasks.
