Ferrovia in use in Bulgaria

The Year 2009 was very successful for CGS plus Ferrovia rail design product. We have successfully expanded our market to Slovakia and Bulgaria (Rol+). Ferrovia is proving to be a comprehensive yet easily adaptable rail design and maintenance tool for answering various country specific needs. Its user friendly workflow, easy user/standard adaptable use and stability is proving on day to day basis in large design companies around the world.

CGS plus contribution to Civil 3D 2010 Subscription Advantage Pack (SAP)

On October 22nd 2009, Autodesk released Civil 3D 2010 Subscription Advantage Pack (SAP), available to Civil 3D subscription customers, which contains significant portions of CGS plus software code. 

Two important features in the SAP release, coming from CGS plus, are Roundabouts and Best fit.

Ferrovia successful in Slovakia

One of the biggest Slovak companies for road and railway design company Dopravoprojekt, acquired Ferrovia as their main tool for railway projects.

Slovak Ferrovia includes not only local standards and language, but also workfolw according to user's wishes.

With that move, Ferrovia became de facto standard Sw tool for for advanced railway projects in Czech and Slovak market.

No need for second party software - with CGS Civil3D Rail Extensions you can design your railway projects directly with use of Civil3D only. On 20th June Ferrovia's rail track geometry data export to Plasser&Theurer tamping machinery was presented LIVE. The event took place on Slovene Railways rail track at Preserje station near Ljubljana. The scope was to export the alignment, tangent and cant data directly from .dwg project file to WinALC data format which is in use on all Plasser&Theurer machinery. Furthermore for the need of existing rail track realignment to its designed position existing track data was analysed with use of Ferrovia tools. The result of needed horizontal and vertical rail track moves was than directly exported to Plasser&Theurer data format. The presentation finished with a perfect railtrack realignment job and all Slovene Railways technical stuff present was impressed with the solution rovided from CGS plus company.

Lately Ferrovia development department also provided a solution for AutoCAD Civil3D alignment and profile track geometry export to Plasser&Theurer data format with additional possibilities of cant definition and calculation for given geometry.
